His Story
Lee Forshner: Retired/Disabled Palm Beach County, FL
Through his 25 years associated with the fire service Lee has had opportunities to assist with the physical, didactic, and mental development of firefighters across the globe.
Lee was diagnosed with job related complex PTSD in 2014 which resulted in losing his purpose and identity when learning how to cope with the effects of trauma.
While healing, Lee spent 7 years as a touring member of the Irish punk band “Dropkick Murphy’s.” This allowed him to share his story and interact with others providing support and resources to increase awareness and normalcy to the mental health crisis surrounding our community.
